The National Anthem of Pakistan known as Qaumi Tarana was adopted on 13th August 1954. The lyrics were written by Hafeez Jalandhari and the music was composed by Ahmed Ghulam Ali Changla. It is written in the Persian language with three stanzas. After the independence of Pakistan, a National Anthem Committee was formed in 1948 with the task of composing the National Anthem. Earlier, the anthem was just music without lyrics that was composed by Ahmed G. Changla. In 1952, Hafeez Jalandhari wrote the lyrics of the anthem.
